Bonjour tout le monde !
J’ai trop hâte de partager cet article, qui va parler de trois de mes endroits préférés près de Nice que j’ai visités cette année. Je suis tellement reconnaissante d’avoir eu l’occasion de pouvoir voir toutes ces villes magnifiques, et j’espère que cette liste vous inspirera pour votre propre échange à Nice. La Côte d’Azur est vraiment belle ! <3
- Villefranche-sur-Mer
Villefranche-sur-Mer est un très joli village situé à côté de Nice, au bord de la mer. Pour y aller, vous pouvez prendre le train ou le bus depuis Nice, et ce trajet dure environ 25 minutes. Le village est beaucoup plus petit que Nice, et j’aime bien venir ici pour flâner dans la vieille ville et me reposer sur la plage avec des amis ! Vous pouvez également suivre le sentier du littoral, une promenade magnifique qui va de Nice jusqu’à Villefranche. Vous trouverez ici beaucoup de restaurants au bord de la mer, des cafés et des boutiques dans la vieille ville colorée, ainsi qu’un joli port et une plage de sable (pour ceux qui en ont marre de marcher sur les plages de galets de Nice !). Si vous venez pour passer une journée à la plage, je vous recommanderais de continuer à marcher jusqu’à la dernière plage (la Plage des Marinières), où l’eau est très claire et où il y a d’habitude un peu moins de touristes. Je recommande aussi le marché, qui est super mignon.
- Èze-sur-Mer
Èze-sur-Mer abrite un jardin botanique avec des vues incroyables sur la Côte d’Azur, voici la vue que j’ai eue pendant le week-end de Pâques sur cette photo ! Il y a un train entre Nice et Èze, mais si vous voulez aller directement au jardin, il vaut mieux prendre le bus depuis Nice, parce que le train s’arrête à la ville d’Èze, et après il y a une randonnée assez raide pour accéder au jardin botanique. Je n’ai toujours pas fait cette randonnée, mais tout le monde dit que la vue est époustouflante, mais que ce n’est pas facile parce que le chemin monte sans arrêt, donc soyez préparés si vous voulez essayer ! La vieille ville d’Èze, près du jardin, vaut également le détour. Vous y trouverez beaucoup de vieilles maisons en pierre qui sont tellement belles.
- Antibes
Antibes est, sans doute, une de mes villes préférées, voire ma préférée, et c’est la ville que j’ai visitée le plus souvent pendant mon échange en France ! Il y a plein de choses à faire, et il y en a pour tous les goûts à Antibes. Il y a un train entre Nice et Antibes, et une fois que vous êtes sortis de la gare, vous pouvez aller jusqu’au bout du boulevard Albert 1er. Vous arriverez alors aux vieux murs et aux remparts de la ville, puis il vous suffira de suivre le chemin jusqu’au port. Les vues sur la Méditerranée et les montagnes sont magnifiques, et vous passerez également devant le Musée Picasso. Après, la vieille ville d’Antibes est elle aussi très charmante – je pourrais y passer des heures ! Il y a beaucoup de boutiques indépendantes où vous pouvez trouver de jolis cadeaux, ainsi que des cafés pour vous reposer après la promenade et regarder passer les gens. Pour ceux d’entre vous qui sont plus sportifs, il existe deux randonnées incontournables à Antibes. La première est une promenade dans un bois : vous pouvez commencer au bout du boulevard Albert 1er, puis tourner à droite et suivre les panneaux jusqu’au phare de la Garoupe. Une fois arrivés, vous aurez une vue imprenable sur la Côte d’Azur. Ma randonnée préférée, c’est le Cap d’Antibes. Il est plus facile d’y accéder en voiture, mais vous pouvez aussi prendre le bus depuis Antibes et marcher jusqu’au début du sentier, où même prendre un taxi – et je vous promets que ça vaut le coup. L’eau y est d’une couleur incroyable, et il y a beaucoup d’endroits où vous pouvez vous baigner tout au long du sentier. La randonnée se termine à la plage de la Garoupe, où vous pouvez vous reposer et vous baigner pour finir votre journée à Antibes.

I’m so excited to share this article with you, which is going to look at three of my favourite places near to Nice that I’ve visited this year. I’m so grateful for the opportunity that I’ve had to get to see all these amazing towns, and my hope is that this list will inspire you for your own exchange in Nice. The French Riviera really is beautiful! <3
- Villefranche-sur-Mer
Villefranche-sur-Mer is a very pretty village perched next to Nice on the seafront. To get there, you can take a train or bus from Nice, which takes around 25 minutes. The village itself is a lot smaller than Nice, and I love coming here for a wander in the old town and to relax on the beach with friends! You can also follow the sentier du littoral, a stunning walk which goes from Nice to Villefranche. Here, you’ll find loads of restaurants on the coast, cafes, and boutiques in the colourful old town, in addition to a pretty port and sandy beach (for everyone who’s had enough of walking on Nice’s pebble beaches!). If you come to spend a day at the beach, I’d advise you to keep walking until you reach the very last beach (Plage des Marinières), as the water is very clear and it’s usually a bit less touristy. I would also recommend the market which is really cute.
- Èze-sur-Mer
Èze-sur-Mer has a botanic garden with incredible views over the French Riviera – here’s my view from Easter weekend in the photo! There’s a train which runs between Nice and Èze-sur-Mer, but if you want to go straight to the garden, it’s better to get the bus from Nice, as the train stops at Èze town, and after that there’s a pretty steep hike up to reach the botanic garden. I’ve still not done this hike – everyone says that the view is breathtaking, but that it’s not easy because there’s an uninterrupted climb to the top, so come prepared if you want to give it a go! Èze’s old town, near the garden, is also worth a visit. There you’ll find lots of really beautiful old stone houses.
- Antibes
Antibes is, without a doubt, one of my favourite towns, if not my absolute favourite, and it’s also the town I’ve been to most during my exchange in France! There’s so much to do, and there’s something for everyone in Antibes. There’s a train which runs between Nice and Antibes, and once you’re out of the station, you can walk to the bottom of Boulevard Albert 1er. You then arrive at the town’s old walls and ramparts, and then you can follow the path until you get to the port. The views looking out over the Mediterranean and mountains are amazing, and you’ll also pass the Picasso Museum. Antibes’ old town is equally very charming – I could genuinely spend hours there! It has so many independent shops selling nice gifts, as well as cafés to take a breather in and people watch after walking around. For the more sporty ones among you, there are two hikes you can’t skip in Antibes. The first one is a walk through the woods: you can set off from the end of the Boulevard Albert 1er, then turn right and follow the signs until you reach the Garoupe lighthouse. Once you’re there, you’re rewarded with an uninterrupted view of the Riviera. My favourite hike is the Cap d’Antibes. It’s easier to get there by car, but you can also get the bus from Antibes and walk to the start of the route, or even take a taxi – and I promise you that it’s worth it. The water there is such a stunning colour, and there’s lots of spots along the way where you can stop for a swim. The hike ends at Garoupe Beach, where you can chill out and swim to finish up your day trip to Antibes.
